# Adding Liquidity

1. To provide liquidity, go to the **Pools** page [here](https://app.morfi.io/pools).
2. Here’s how to add liquidity to an existing pool
   1. Select the pool you want to provide liquidity to

   2. Click "Create Position"

   3. Set the liquidity range When setting the range, you may either use the four presets (i.e., Narrow, Common, Wide, Full) or manually set the minimum and maximum prices. The smaller the range, the higher the yield, but there is also a greater risk of impermanent loss or becoming out of range.\
      \
      When deciding on a price range, it's important to think about aspects like future market volatility, investment horizon, etc. You'll also need to think about how much time and effort you're willing to put into managing your position as market conditions change, as well as the costs involved in making those changes.\
      \
      💡 If you are trading a token for the first time, you first need to give permission by approving.<br>

   4. Entering the amount Once you enter the amount for one asset, the system will automatically calculate and display the needed amount for the other asset, according to the range you specified.<br>

   5. Approve and add liquidity To proceed, you first need to grant approval. *(This is only necessary if you are providing liquidity for a specific token for the first time.)* Following approval, proceed by clicking **Add liquidity,** review the provided details, and then click **Add liquidity** for the final time to execute the transaction

   6. Earn and manage After successfully providing liquidity, select "My Pools" on the Pools page to monitor your active positions.\
      \
      Your assets are now actively providing liquidity and accruing trading fees.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.morfi.io/morfi/morfi-dex-features/liquidity-provision-lp/adding-liquidity.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
